James “DJ JF” Franklin, known throughout Indianapolis as DJ JF The Legend, has spent decades helping shape the city’s music and nightlife culture.

Beginning with his celebrated mixtape era in the late 1980s and early 1990s, JF built a citywide following that eventually carried him behind the turntables at venues and events throughout Indianapolis.
